Oil Pressure Gauge

Got The Car Running Again but the oil pressure gauge goes off scale when the ignition is turned on could this a wire on wrong or broken sensor (where is it?)

I think that happens if the sensor is unplugged, or possibly if the two wires are connected the wrong way around. Sensor is the large round one on the side of the block, right next to the thermostat.
