    Remap or chip?! HELP!!

Hi peeps, i have a set of injectors 440cc with ported head, stock turbo, and simply, can the origional URS4 ECU be flash remapped or do i have to buy chips from 034 or someone to do this and have my ecu socketed and all thar stuff?

i ask as i have an 034 stage IIC ecu sat here but just want a quick "get by" for GTi inters next month!!!
and 034 cannot supply a toothed harmonic damper trigger wheel in time.

    any help GREATLY appreciated

oh also, who in the uk could supply whatever you reccomend? uk so its faster post please lads.

i hope someone can map it

If your using a stock turbo the cheapest and easiest thing to do is reinstall the stock injectors as nothing else is really affected.

You'd need a remap which is going to cost you £500 plus vat, waste of money. You could ask S2central to fry you a special version at a cheaper price but really just install the stock injectors. This is what I did whilst running in my engine before switching to vems.

To map the I5 the chips have to be replaced they can't be flashed in situ

Don't do that too often, as it can really damage the engine. Redline is 7400 RPM (IIRC) for a reason on a standard engine.

Hydo lifters in head will go pop if you rev to 8000 rpm, they can take over 7500 in stock form

In that case your better asking him for a stock chip set to run with the stock injectors and forget about the larger ones until you go 034 ecu

Strange choice that ecu though as it's not plug and play, you must be confident with the rewiring.
