    Turbo specs for ~330hp?

    Hi,

Just speculating, but perhaps this is the future. So what would be a good turbo for around 330hp? Is K24/26 hybrid possible? Which side is the restricting one in original K24? Compressor I assume.
Turbo spec don't have to be much over that 330 limit. Just so that it could easily do 330 and not on its limits.
Of course with minimum power loss in the low/mid range!
RS2 K26 unit is too large.
And the 330 would be with RS2 EM, chargecooler and 3" all the way from turbo. And perhaps the 7A E-cam.

    Hi Porkkis,

If you think the RS2 K26 is too large, then I think you should like the hybrid I'm doing right now, which uses a small K26 hot side and an RS2 compressor (that can do much more than 330 HP). The small K26 hot side is just a wee bit larger than the stock K24 one, which means about the same lag and spool-up times as a stock turbo, but which, combined with the RS2 cold side should work great in order to provide you with massive torque in the midrange and about 330 HP on the top end... more than 330 should be possible as well by the way!

If you need more info, keep me posted and I'll answer your questions!

completely rebuilt with special, racing thrust bearings and a 1 year warranty, I can sell them for 1000 Euros. This means they are like new!

          Mihnea,

Thanks for the info. My turbo upgrade will take place maybe next summer or so. But sounds like an interesting option. What are the A/R figures? And what are stock k24 A/R?

uuuuuuh, dangit, A/Rs????? I don't freaking know man, never measured them actually but anyway, a k24's turbine A/R is low IMHO, given the spool-up and lag it has....
