Vacuum/something hoses in enginebay. Got no idea what they are for :|
Mine has a vacuum operated recirculation vent (no climate control) so I assume thats what the second one is for, the climate ones would have the same ?
T
The first one looks like the charcoal canister connection to me, but the T piece and connector look all wrong for an S2. The second one looks like cruise control, short end connects to the pump, long end connects to the diaphragm under the throttle body.

Ok the rubber connector with the screw clamp connected onto the back of the intake manifold on the 7A. On early cars 89-90 the connector went into a splitter, then to the PCV valves above the radiator fan (black plastic line), the fuel pressure regulator (thin yellow line, and the diff lock ( i think its the thin purple line).
For the 3B/ABY will you also have to add another line for the ECU, should be a thin green line with a moisture trap just before the ECU connector. Fuel pressure regulator should be connected already, you just need to add the diff lock and ECU connection to the back of the inlet manifold.
I'm not familiar with the 3B charcoal canister setup but at the very least there needs to be a one way valve and the blue frequency valve between the canister and the crank case breather pipe at the back of the engine. The diff lock switch also needs a one way valve but i dont know if there is one already?

What I've got connected to the Intake manifold right now:
---
TBV
-
T-Piece 1
-Green line (ECU)
-Fuel pressure regulator
-
T-Piece 2
-Pink line (Rear diff, think check valve is somewhere back there)
-Black line (AC stuff)
---
I've also got a loose hose coming from the blue frequency valve on the back of the intake manifold. Guess that and the other hoses are connected in a way then.
If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence that you tried.
