codes 00553 & 00537

Just been for a run and had the dreaded dodgy idle again, it's dropping really low as if it's wanting to stall and I've got codes

00553- G70 signal too low
00537 Lambda -regulating limit exceeded

The lambda is 3000k old and the MAF is 1000k old, I've got a spare MAF that I'm going to swap to see if that makes a difference

How long do lambda sensors generally last and should this just be a case of renewing the lambda and/or is there anything else it could be please?

it looks to me like the lamda is sending off the maf . If you have a different maf to test it, it will solve the mystery. Otherwise a boost leak can appear as those 2 faults anyway

cheers mate if the spare MAF behaves exactly the same can I assume it's the lambda sensor that's at fault

you could, assuming that there are no boost leaks from the usual places.

i have a few spares lamdas if you want to try out/buy 2 of them being new. let me know
