    AAN Auxillary Water Pump WTB

    Gents,
    Does anybody (in ireland north or south if possible for immediate collection anywhere) have an auxillary water pump lying about that they'd sell. Bought a UR s6 today and the pump is leaking badly.

    VAG 034 965 561 C ;
    Bosch PAA 12 392 020 054 ;

    I think these numbers are right but if anybody knows better please let me know. The part was very dirty from the rubber clamps that hold it in place.

      Cheers Andy, the old pump is actually broken so I can't drive the car home until I get my hands on one. I suppose I can rip it out of the s2 but don't really like doing stuff twice.
      Historically i've found it difficult to get in touch with Pete but will try him in the morning if nothing else appears.

        You don't need the pump to drive the car, get a suitable 90 degree pipe and bridge the two pipes, just don't go doing any heroics and let the car cool nicely for the last part of the journey. You can always bridge teh fan thermostat switch (base of the rad on the S2) and force the fan on to the highest setting. HTH

          Andy, good thinking there, that'll do the trick nicely if nothing pops up.

              It's a bit tatty, black leather, cheap stereo, automatic (not really by bag if I'm honest), but it pulls like a train photos to follow

                Andy, good call. I "borrowed" the pump out of a T4 VW Transporter 1.9 TD. Very similar and it'll keep the pipes sealed for the journey home.

                Got Pete Reeve on the phone, new pump ordered so hopefully I'll have that next week sometime. It's great to speak to someone who's familiar with these cars.
