The one thing that is good about CT is the fact that you can make lots of combinations, even ask for specific wheel diameters(if available) but usually they are. I was not aware of those problems that repo was describing, but surely any distributor/representative would try and avoid selling something that knows may have a defect.

i would contact them with that option i guess as well.Journal bearing CTs are not much more expensive than a new holset.

ask REPO how much engines did they make with CT turbos...and how good they are...

CT 355 with journal bearing is better turbo than garett 3071 (k26) which have BB. friend try this two turbos on I5, and with CT they get +20hp and +50 Nm..
      and CT 355 is cheapest.

i must disaggree with that statement, as Bram with the 355 with the 3BB said that it was still spooling later than the 3071R. Journal bearing with that will definitelly be worse.

It is bigger than 3071 so yes much more powerfull. Of course Bram had relocked cams which can alter the boost profile and torque, but repo can answer that.

So far all i have seen from the CTs are being a bit more powerfull than their garrett equivalents, but i yet fail to see on the I5 examples of them being faster in spooling. Having said that there hasnt been a proper test done with them, ie put one in, map, take it out, put a garrett in, map. All examples had slight differences between them.
