    Car wont start after chiptuning

Today they deliverd chips from Ultimot for a S2 with a RS2 engine @ my home.

Directly installed them in my ECU.
Drives normally perfect, but now the car doesnt start

I didnt have replaced the other chips yet ,maybe somebody knows what the problem can be?

Have you got them the wrong way round or in the wrong holder? Check that all the pins are in the holder correctly and that one has not bent etc.

            Just like on the photo.

I have removed the ECU now ,its hot as hell.

Going to take a look inside and check it again.

I have put my own software again in the ECU, and it starts right away, very strange.

I'm betting your ecu has the OEM immobiliser circuit in it and the chips you got sent are non immobiliser

your ecu has an immobilisor = start
with your ecu and new chips without immobilisor = no start

Then i know what the problem is.
I have send Ultimot a mail, hope they have other chips or else i must Send the ECU to someone who has experience with that.

                          @ Bart

Ik weet het ,maar ultimot garandeerde plug & play en gaan met die banaan.

If the ECU is running too hot then this has *&^% all to do with presence of IMMO or not. EIther the chips they sent are wrong parts, are inserted wrong way round or maybe you have bent pins together when fitting.

On the immo question - send me a PM with your VIN number and I can tell you what it should have !

I don't agree with you. At least from my practice (S4/S6 AAN) - there is no problem to use non immobilizer chips on ECU which orginally had immo.

Don't know how it is on ABY, but I suspect that it should behave exactly as AAN. If it is 3b - then no factory immo for them.

I suspect we have eeprom type case, mixed eeproms of wrong software issuse here .
