Did someone else noticed that the crankshaft positioning sensor on the 7A flywheel is on different location than on the RS2 i.e.?
7A Flywheel pin location

Negative. I have noticed, that it's on same location as AAN flywheel, and my AAN works just fine with 3b flywheel.
What has led you to such conclusion
? This forum revealed many things I could't possibly think possible - to be possible
. So I can change my mind if you have some proof that those are different.

ETKA Says 7a flywheel is 034 105 270K
But the 7a flywheels on the internet have part number 034 105 271 c (Same as NG, NG just don't have the pin)
So Theres a flywheel "034 105 271 c" with timing pin (7A) and a Flywheel "034 105 271 c" whitout pin (NG)Comment

Who are you going to believe eBay or ETKA? 034105271C cannot be found in ETKA. However, you might be able to find this that shows that the NM and 7A flywheels have the same PN and that the 3B and ABY flywheels are different (I know the ABY is a dished flywheel).

ETKA sould not lie? but the flywheel i got from my NG engine is neither a 034105270E or 034105270EX but a 034105271C
And funny 034105271C dosn't exist in ETKA, when you Search 7a Flywheel on here the most of them have P/N 034105271C (havn't found the 034 105 270K)Comment

I think THAT is your answer. Audi started with one casting and then made modifications to suit the particular application. It was the *modified castings* that got the proper PNs, like 034105270E, 034105270EX and 034105270K. This is very similar to the 3B, AAN and ABY exhaust manifolds - they have a 9 digit casting number but that is not their part number because the actual part had studs added to it before it went in the parts bin for retreival and installation. Its very confusing, let me try and explain. Part number 034 105 271 C, I have had lots of these machined to 3B spec, all the ones I had did had the timing pin in. I think the problem we have is that a lot of the flywheels have this number ( 034 105 271 C ) as this refers to the cast part, not the engine number directly, therefore it may not have the pin in some cases. I have had these from 7A engined cars and other people have said the number is wrong and yet I have removed 3 of these from 7A engines personally ! I think somewhere along the line Audi just decided to use one casting and add pins that were required for engines that needed it. .
