    Any Diesel experts?

Looking to see if anyone can help with this problem I have

Rebuilt diesel engine up in a A4 got it all in started it up fine no problem then the next day went to get it going and no joy at all have checked timing to see if it had slipped a tooth but all good , fuel getting to injectors but the glow plugs dont seem to be getting power , check relay first and its fine ..Its like it has immobiliser fault of some sort as it turnover it like it wants to start but just wont , have run a live feed through the glow plugs just to see if I could get it to go but same thing , it offers but just doesnt run ...VAG.com does show anything

Have swapped over ecu and the things that you would think it would be but still pinning it down to immob

Is there a way to cancel this out or is there a relay that I am missing

    Cheers

        easyest thing is
        a) is immob light flashing on dash?
        b) squirt a BIT of easy start or brake cleaner in the inlet and see if it barks up

Steve, if its an immo issue I think it will allow the car to start and run for approx 1 second and then cut. With my Passat this happens from time to time. The fault is a wire that crosses the top of the steering column. If the steering is lifted to max position this cable gets pinched from time to time and prevents the car from running.

In vag com you can run through a few relays and solenoids with the engine off but with the ignition switched on.

Fuel cut off valve not working correctly?
