    Oil Deflector

    PN 034 103 553D

This is the flimsy plastic insert that fits under the cam cover below the oil filler cap. Mine is broken. My question is - I presume it's fine to run without one?

Currently on 'Back Order' say TPS/Dealer
Unless anyone has one lying around?

    Thanks,

      Thanks for the reply ,

I guess I'll have to run without it for a while.

Quick further question - do I need a new gasket every time I take the cam cover off - or only if it sems to be leaking?

          .

A careful smear of Molykote 55 may help...not tried this yet.
