    ABY kaput 3 options on the table

    Well my S2's ABY went kaput, caught on fire and everything...
    The block and crank seized and its better to transform this engine in some cans...

    In portugal S2's are a rare comodity, and I could only find three possible donor cars...

    * S6 MkI 4.2V8
    * S4 2.2 ABY
    * RS2 ADU

    Will the V8 fit?
    Are the engine mountings on the S4 ABY identical to the S2 ABY?
    Will the ADU engine need the ECU to work?

      Don't know the main reason, but there was a major crack on the engine block and the oil pouring out of the engine in contact with the plastics of the fan, it caught fire...
      But I got the fire extinguished very quickly, so no major damage except for the engine and some plastics...

        Just received the info
        ADU comes with the K24 7200 turbo and inlet manifold...

        The question remains, will this engine work with the ABY ECU, or will I have to source out a ADU ECU?

              The ADU comes with the RS2 turbo because the ADU *is* the RS2 engine. If you got that engine with would be a straight bolt in but you`d need uprated-chips or the RS2 ECU to get full benefit from the ADU engine.

                AAN will fit bolt on, you just have to change water manifold, intake manifold, PS-pump+alternator+aircon hangers and ofc support arms from your ABY.

                ADU will drop straight in, it's the "same body" it's from. Yes, you need new program into your ecu for it to function well.

                V8 can be bolted in, you need to build your own wiring harness out of original AND V8 harness and ofc plan and build engine supports for it. V8 ECU is also needed.

                So the easiest out of these 3? ADU, no mechanical changes needed, just get new software into ECU. AAN comes next, needs some things from your ABY but can use current ECU software. V8 is a can of worms compared to others, but doable, and can be installed into your car.
                All quattro products have been dermatologically tested, and are safe for daily use.
