    Allmost killed my engine today,

I was driving home from work as usual today and all of a suddon the check light goes nuts showing the red water temp warning. I look at my "never works" temp gauge and think B****X not another faulty sensor. So i continue on muttering damn audis all the way home.

When i got home i opened the bonnet, S***T thats hot

Turns out the rubber crank case breather hose has been rubbing against the metal water pipe. ...And it wore a hole in the metal pipe

Hey its been two months since it last broke down, i cant complain

    Mark.

It drove fine until I parked it so I can only assume all is ok. Now that I have it all apart it turns out the metal pipe rusted from the inside out, really bad condition. ...and so are my knuckles after those damn fan bolts.

P.S. The Audi engineers decided with there infamous sensor of humour to attach the little metal pipe to the gearbox bolt. Try getting that off when you can’t even see it
