    Mains bolts reused???

Can I re use the main caps bolts. I used 12.9 grade bolts! They are between stock and Arp I think.

Another question what is the length of the mail bolts in the AEL diesel block?

    Regards

AEL bolts are 80mm long. Use new bolts, these are cheap. Here is one result of reused bolts...

Every bolt stretches. That's how they work.
Some ask for repetitive stretching before obtaining optimum controlability.
Other don't and deform plastic in stead of elastic which will result in failure.

I wouldn't dare taking the gamble.. perhaps you do :mischeif:

Some reading for you , page 28 of this, although there is a mine of useful information in it you may want to read it all.

do you happen to know the part number for the new bolts because my family album don't list them.

ive reused bolts with no issue. then again im sure lots of us have.

                        not those bolts though.

if they are definately stretch then replace. get arps and be done.

Where can i get an ARP set fast?

How undercut must the one be and what is the torque setting for them?

maybe audi is quicker and cheaper. im not a stroker expert.

i need some details for the ARP main studs. I need the length of them and the cutback one length to check because apparently ARP packed approx 1000 boxes with I5 studs that were too short.
