By far. Unfortunately also more expensive - although at this age we all should know, quality and price are usually directly proportional.

Cheap is not good and good is not cheap!

Catcams wear very quickly, I've heard this across numerous non audi car forums as well.

Based on own experience? If so: something is wrong with your parts.
I needed to reshim only 6 valves on mine after driving for a couple of hundred miles after initial setup and then it's been OK for years
A lot of both highway use and track days. This with cat cams. As repo said they have had problems with wear, but my last set(replaced on warrenty) was hardened differently and seems to hold up better.

About cams: don't go to big. It's no use and can "ruin" an engine. Mine are only 254 degrees with 226@1mm. Dynoed 584hp/700nm @wheels on E85 at 1.8bar with 2.5 stroker.
