what can I salvage?

Theres an abandoned LHD 2.3 20v audi estate near me, Approx 1994 -1995.
crusher is coming in a couple of days.
What can I take from it that might be of use on my AAN 400ish bhp project.
I assume its a 7a engine.
I was thinking I could possibly take the cams and the cam/rocker cover.
Any ideas welcome

Take the whole engine if you can... but are you sure its a 20V - 7A is a rare enouigh engine - would hate to see one broken for no good reason -never seen one in an estate though - but LHD you say so maybe right enough.

Does it have air conditioning - if it has climate control, I'll drive down to Mayo myself and have those bits !

Didn't think the 20v was still in production that late?

If it is a late 20v mikes2 is needing the inlet manifold to ISV hose.

If it's a 7a get the head too as you never know when you'll need another one.

If its a 20v take the complete engine, and if its an avant i would take every bit of rubber trim, screws, wiring loom, fusebox, etc. I would pick it clean in an afternoon

20v engine is never made for the avant. if it an r5 20v engine it will not be original.

Went over an hour ago to see whats what, and the salvage truck has been and gone with it

'salvage' - that's a laugh... Damn thing will likely be crushed before the week is out. If the council lifted it, can't you tell what yard it has gone too ?

did you actually see the engine or did it just say '20v' on the back?more than likely just a dull old 2 ltr if you didnt see it

a 7A Avant? that's quiet weird, I have never heard of a 7A like an OEM feature on a Avant! Mate you have to hurry, try to contact that salvage! You had to be a bit faster to take that car for you
