Has any1 here an alumiunium radiator on his car?

If so how does it perform?
And where does it come from.

    Thanks a lot.

Radtec will make any radiator to any spec. Tell them the hp of car and they will work it out. Got 2 custom built ones in my car with cooling never a problem (in London). excellent quality - Not cheap though.

I put one in my hillclimb/sprint car (non Audi) and it stopped the overheating in it's tracks, just a pity about the cost.

I've been speaking with a company that specialise in Ali rad/Intercoolers for high performance race and rally cars. He thinks he can build a 42mm single row core with all fitting/mounting poins (inc fan) for the S2 for £250+Vat+p&p if we can get 5 or more orders.
I didn't think that was too bad?

Sounds about the same price as the Dialynx large Rad.

Although this just chinese whispers i'm passing on.

just will say lots ££££££ lol

Had a real problem as used the S4 inlet manifold and did not move the throttle body and there is less space in the 90 than the ur to start with. The main rad sitting at the front of the car is therefore bowed to follow the contour of the car. Apparently a work of art but def added to expence.

Have you got any pics and specs of your car anywhere? I would be interested to see more of it.

If he can do them for that money I'll have one. Dialynx quoted me £600 for an alloy rad.

First need to know quality of work and then quality of core used. This can make big difference to both the cooling (main issue) and secondly the price.
Radtec charged me in line with Dailynx for both rads but they were one offs and made some 3 years ago now). If you could sort group buy may well work out cheaper but you need to speak to them. The guy that designed mine has left now but they do make top stuff!
