hello
i get the 01257 fault code which is to do with the ISV. its Either:
1. A short circuit to +ve in N71 (ISV) or in the cable between N71 and contact 4 of the ECU.
2. A short circiut to earth in N71 or between N71 and ECU
3. fuse #24 faulty
4. open circuit in wiring
The ISV is new so i doubt it will be a fault with that and fuse 24 is fine i have changed it to make sure.
Is there an easy way to check the wiring for the ISV circuit? any tests i can do?
all help apriciated
Thanks

it had been remapped last year. i have got a new ecu and i want to put the cips in out of the broken one. will this be ok or could it be the chips that caused the problem?
