Which oil pressure sender position is normal? does it matter?
Shouldn't matter as the low pressure sensor (white one) is in different mounting in non sport package cars (ie no pressure gauge).
I mean N/A 90's and such.
What about the wires on the sender, does it matter if they are switched?
I've just installed a new sender and the design was a bit different from the old one. Instead of the terminals sticking out like on the old one, one pointed up and the other down. So I just had to guess were to put each of the cabels.
Now, when I start my car the oil pressure is off the scale. 5bar++.
Just had the engine rebuilt with new oil pump etc, and only started it and had it run for a couple of minutes yet. But I did notice the high oil pressure, prior to the rebuild I could not get past 4 bar on idle.
So now I'm wondering if this high oil pressure is a positive effect of my rebuild or a negative effect of me putting these cables on the wrong way around.
Efini@ its coreckt oilpressure....
i will have som higher....,but its NOT bad..
the tuner say: ca 1 bar pr 1000 rpm, but NOT over 7 bar oilpressure.. 2-5 bar oilpressure; its perfeckt
