    Engine Pressure

Hi chaps, what should my coupe 2.0 16v be pressure wise warm at idle? (Recently had my head gasket, skimmed and piston rings done)

Thought id bump this and inform everyone of my bump!
1am: Long country style straight with no lamposts(hard to come by in london)
With a sweeping bend that wasnt as sweeping as I remember from 2 years ago.
Add some leaves and plenty of water on the road.
    Crunchaclock!

Question now is, to fix or not to fit!? Spent 2k doing head gasket, piston rings, skimming, tyres, all service parts in the last 6 months or so. 2 week old yokohamas

Only damage to engine is dent in sump, no leakages.
Whole cooling system needs replacing (which i was going to do) power steering pump, water pump etc etc. More costly and timely is all the panels and jigging that will need to be done.
Now temporarily driving a peugeot 206, makes me miss my audi so bad

So.... suggestions.... i only have 4k tops whatever i do, so S2 isnt really any option yet....

If it were me i would find a nice late 8v example and put your engine into it.

I would think £4k would get you a nice pretty sorted S2 plus with the bits you can salvage from your car would give you even more money to play with...?

I was going to say the same thing, you could fairly easily get a decent s2 for that money.
Save the tyres for some 17s on the s2.
Plently of parts could be sold from the car. Just remember that your 2,0 16v engine is worth good money due to it being suitable for Mk2 16v upgrades from 1.8 to 2.0. Dented sump is no issue as the mk2 one would have to be used. Probably worth putting it up on clubgti or the like.
And if you get a red S2 you could use some of the panels off your 16v for spares.

In fact a forum member has a red one for sale in Budget and is a nice unmolested example....

Ouch, looks like the passenger side chassis rail took the brunt of the impact. I would expect finding another car would be as cost effective than repairing what you have.

IME Yokohamas and wet weather dont like each together.

Bloody expensive 2 week old tyres! Those leaves changed everything, I dont even remember the ABS pulsing, but thats probably cos I had mild concussion.

Any rough ideas what peeps think I could get selling it whole to break, considering what has been done to engine, if anybody knows anyone that might be interested do let me know.
