Can someone please tell me where I can buy a slimmer, but efficient radiator fan? The original I have today is a bit too big in depth. If someone of you have links to radiator fans, AND brackets/tips for mounting the new slimmer fan I would like to see it, please.
I know I am dragging up and old thread here but just had a quick question for the people who have installed slimline radiators:
Pacet no long exist and and were acquired by Kenlowe 3 years ago. They quoted me £130 for an equivalent fan to the PF1311 used in the tread mentioned above, this is pushing my budget a bit so had a look on eBay and found this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Aeroline-E...item2c707630ff
Would something like this be okay?
I know you probably get what you pay for but I can buy 3 of these for the same price so not really a problem if they dont last for ever.
I also kind of like the idea of the adjustable thermostat so you can change the temp the fan kicks in for different uses.

at the time i was looking the pacet was the largest i could fit with the highest CFM and remaining 'slim' which was the aim...are they definitely out of business now? I swapped my main rad lat year and i could do with some new mounts at some point for the fan
I sent emails to the address' linked on the Pacet website (still running) and had a response a few days later from sales@kenlowe.com saying
"Kenlowe acquired Pacet after they had ceased trading 3 years ago"
I guess they may be able to help you out with new mounts.

I'm re-dragging up this old post once again to ask if you bought and fitted one of these?

Aha. I see you said "Hindsight: DON'T USE THIS FAN IT IS NOT UP TO THE JOB!!"
Do you think it's not up the job because you have that big custom radiator? I'm wondering if it will be any good with my standard radiator and A/C condenser on the front. The massive OEM shroud is one of the things I'm looking to get rid of if possible.
What kind of price are you wanting for it?
cheers
