The quaife sequential uses same bolt pattern as ford type 9 so could use this bellhouseing with either the quaife sequential or just a the type 9 box which common in sierras http://www.tigerracing.com/catalogue...roducts_id=107 which is for I4 vag engine to ford T9

I would say have a look at the ford duratec engine however, can be tuned very well, like a contemporary XE, however alloy block and even better head design.

Need look the back axle be very weak torque a 2l behind it let alone a 2lT, could look doing a 4 link set up or set anti tramp bars since going need swap axle something hardier

2.0T is just as stunning engine as the 1.8T was at time.

Whatever You do, stick with the motronic and OE KKK's or well known manufacturer complete turbo kit. The K04 stretches to almost 400hp with racefuel, and provides plenty of range.

APR offers full lineup for this engine, from 240 to 520hp, without compromising the safety features of factory ecu.

Just make sure the cam slobe and follower for the high pressure fuel pump are intact, when purchasing
Everything less than 2 bar is considered to be naturally aspirated

        Thanks for the input fellas!

The rear is already on independant system with a sierra diff and ap suretrack. It'll take some busting!

Thanks for the tiger link! we could run the tfsi on to the Caterham 6 speed it already has to get the engine all happy in its new home then change to a sequential. Drenth do a type 9 size box i've just seen..
We looked at the duratec, but its big bucks for 265 bhp. Its very fashionable for Caterhams so prices are steep..
Even measured a AJP V8 as they are rather awesome power to weight, cost/rarety of engine stopped that idea.

Big Lee has put me on that engine he mentioned, it comes with loom, ecu. I'll see how it weights up with ecu/loom. Would save a few quid to run motronic! :mischeif:

          S3 engine! deal done!

          Thanks Lee!

Comes with loom, ecu. Also dash pod, doubt that will be used!

Just need a rather nice turbo and manifold. I will probobly fab a manifold but you should see the strange way the factory one mounts! Odd slot in affair at the low side and 45 degree studs on the top...

If I wind it up to 400bhp that'll be 700 per ton!

Its not come with one, not seen any around to buy either...
Also the original is part of the manifold, really don't want the weight of that!

Had a B7 A4 2.0T quattro running just shy of 300bhp, all that had was a stage 2 map, decat pipe and a panel filter

How are you planning on disabling the immobilisers and fooling the ECU into not thinking theres a dashpod?

I bet thats a nice every day motor!

Many companies can sort that, Stom, CT.

It arrived yesterday, I have the dash pod and loom for the car... its 5" thick in places! Even came with throttle pedal which looks rather nice..
The dude I got from, his brother has a mk2 golf with same engine running stand alone gt28, cable throttle. 420 bhp front wheel drive.... Going to have looky at his set up.

Seems 034 do a dry sump for the 4 pot..

Yup, really miss it, running a 2.0Tdi Jetta now to cut the fuel bill and give me something to spend on the S2.

The S3 engine goes like stink with just a stage 1 map, it wasnt that long ago i had a spare K04 turbo sat in my garage. Was originally going to be butched onto the A4 but never got round to it.

You going to bring it to Squires Cafe when its done?

It won't go on the road, or it will but it hits the ground too much. Smooth circuits only...

The 2.0 K04 seems rare where did yours go!

Know that feeling, co-own a Caterham 7 R400 with a duratech engine in it, runs about 225bhp and although thats a full registered road car the only time its seen the road in the past two years is on a trailer

My K04 got sold onto a Seat Leon owner from Luton. Keep an eye out of forums like Mk5 GTi and Briskoda. They come up often enough
