  • Data Log UrS6

Dispite replacing everything other than the car itself, my S6 is still decides by itself when it wants to pull cleanly and when it can't be bothered.

I have been told you can 'data log' these cars via vag-com so to read what all the sonsors are saying at full throttle in 3rd for example.

Is this true? and if so is anyone near to Nottingham willing to help me out? Obviously i am happy to pay for someone's time?

Yep, you can log quite a few parameters (but not nearly as much as on the newer, OBD2 cars).

I'd suggest logging timing, IAT, coolant temp (in case of a faulty signal), etc

You can buy the cables that can run the old Vagcom 409 program for less than $10 off Ebay.

I've got one of thes in addition to my original vagcom cable.

You can also log rpm vs time in order to assess performance (like a dyno pull)
    1995 RS2 on Alcohol (6.8sec 100-200km/h)
    1994 80E Avant
    1986 2L Golf 2 on Alcohol
