    Andy,

Thanks for the response. Nice to see I might have distilled a half decent spec with the aid of the forum.

I forgot about the fuel pump.

What info or links do you have on the supersprint downpipe, does it just bolt up / straight fit no hassle? cost? made of what material? Have I picked you up correctly that the exhaust is also supersprint, bar the Jetex back box? Any observations on how you find it?

One last one, any observations on the 996s and 323s?

@ the rest of the members.

I presume relaying the ABY std fuel pump directly to give it an extra volt is futile and it should ideally be replaced for a 044 pump to match/fit in with the above type spec? The alternator has a 14.5v regulator fitted. Haven't found a 15v one yet to fit.

Which company would be good for a tweaked RS2 turbo?

I presume second hand is the only reasonable priced source for an RS2 turbo?

What's the difference between a tweaked/std RS2 turbo and the K26/27 turbo mentioned in this thread. I'm thinking in terms of which is bigger, which boosts earlier type of thing. I know it sounds repetitive, but earlier spool would be more desirable for me than more bhp higher the rev range.

    Thanks again and kind regards.

Andy, thanks for that, I sometimes need it spelt out to me, but then it sticks.

Just answered your first reply so you can't go to bed yet?

Uhm, standard manifold (with some mods) is good for 500hp.
But hey, it's your money. And of course Wagner is better. Just you will not notice any difference until you hit way higher power levels.

As for pump. I don't recommend the 044... very very noisy.
I ordered one of these, which should be good for 500hp.
Difference to 044 according to forums (but have not fitted it yet):
          * Less powerful (044 supports more hp)
          * Much less noise
          * Easier fitting
          * Cheaper

I'll fit it in a week and see how I get on.

What mods to the standard manifold, inlet or exhaust?

So what spec would you list starting from the RS2 airbox to the exhaust tip if you were me and can't fabricate anything, but can use a spanner? With a target of 380bhp' ish and as early a spool as possible.

Thanks for your interest by the way.

I was talking about the intake manifold... it is possible to drill out some bits there.
I am sure some people can advise you on how to get it done and you will be able to get this done at a workshop.
That said, even then it's not really needed for 380hp

                For 380 hp daily driver...
                1. Cast Exhaust manifold (RS2/RS2 Replica/Wagner)
                2. K26/K27 hybrid or RS2 turbo... K26/K27 is a bit more laggier, but will allow you to reach 380 bhp easier.
                3. 440cc injectors
                4. Better intercooler (optional, but recommended)
                5. RS2 airbox
                6. Proper custom ECU remap
                7. Replacing the hoses is a good idea...
                8. Exhaust/DP is also a good idea.

I don't really think you need anything else.
Also, 380-400hp is IMO the limit on what is sensible on a daily driver... More than that and you will start getting quite a bit of lag...

I'd agree with prj on that list in general terms. Only tweak I would make is to stick for RS2 sized turbo - K26/27 I feel has too much lag for daily use. RS2 / 034 replica injectors for 370cc are fine... BTDT with ~380bhp and 550Nm on RS2 setup - ABY camshafts.

RS2 airbox, turbo, injectors and exhaust manifold are only really necessary items for your ~380 target... A better intercooler and Samco hoses would be next on the list... only then would I worry about small gains from likes of Wagner IM. The benefit of that only really comes with high powered monsters.

Yeah I agree that the 370cc will be fine at 3.8 or 4 bar.
But 440cc injectors can often be had cheaper.
Just buy whichever is cheaper, either will work for your setup.

id go ex manifold,3" system, turbo, injectors and a map for 400.

id go cone filter too. not to everybodies likeing but for me it works well and is far cheaper than rs2 airbox. depends on turbo size too.

like paul says prj has it covered there. esp for the stock look

Walbro is noisy indeed, Denso isn't

How can you say 044 is not noisy though?
The stock pump makes basically no noise at all. With the 044 there is a constant high-pitched whine. Every car I have tuned with a 044 pump had the whine. It was not so bad inside, but outside, it sounds like something from another planet
Same as with the walbro 255.

hi would be happy with that set up

regarding the cone filter and stock ic
would a water/methanol injection be a good option to keep intake temp down?

Adding a cone filter often means removing the stock CAI, which is not a good idea imo.
Water / methanol injection is always a good idea performance-wise, but on a daily driver it's too much hassle imo.

i dont sit outside the car when driving.

mines no louder than stock. ive never heard of 044 issues with noise.

maybe the fact i have a loud exhaust means i cant hear it? i doubt that very much.

                                other 044 users with noise?
