I need one of these and while they're relatively inexpensive from the main stealer here's an alternative. Quinton Hazell is stocked by most local factors and ebay.
Same part listed as 87 deg C for ABY ADU AAN & 7A. 3B not listed.
You can also use QH348 which is the same sized thermostat but 88 degrees rather than 87. It's widely available as it's used in 3 and 5 series BMWs
Also on ebay for around £8.50 delivered. Motorquip part number is VTS180.
If GSF are still selling the "Flusser" brand thermostat, don't use it at all costs. It has a jiggle pin in it which makes it useless in our application and will give you low temps cruising along the motorway. I've a one week old one available for free if anyone's interested
It's where there is a small hole in the thermostat with a pin through it with a small ball on one end, the idea being that air will bleed through the hole and then the liquid flow pushes the small ball against the hole closing it.
Actually, I lied, having checked my Flusser again it dosn't even have the sophistication of a jiggle pin, there's simply a cut out at the edge of the thermostat so there will always be a leak :corey:
I have bad memories of QH parts from my Honda days, especially thermostats and water pumps. They may be cheap but will come back to haunt you. You get what you pay for...
All Honda thermostats i have seen had the jiggle pin but some engines were very fussy about bleeding the coolant as the ECU engine temp sensor in the head can get insulate in an air bubble. I suspect the jiggle pin was an attempt to stop that.

Nothing ventured nothing broken. It's fitted now and I'm not taking it out until I have to. Fingers crossed.
I've got a QH thermostat fitted at the moment and it's fine, it's doing better than its 3 Dealer OE predecessors.
Out of curiosity I tested 4 thermostats including the QH before fitting it. It was the only one that opened at the temperature it said, the other three all came prematurely.
