It's got an RS2 inlet cam and a 7a exhaust cam. Turbo is an MD357 from Turbo Dynamics (the same turbo that DJones runs).

Excellent job, that will certainly be a lively bit of kit.

Did MRC have any comments on the turbo? i have been talking to Turbo Dynamics this week about turbo's and how i can make mine less aggressive.... must be getting old....

When i took mine for the MOT my dad came along and he said you have a misfire, i replied "no that’s the rev limiter" which it hit instantly in every gear due to damp conditions. hence too aggressive......

nice results! pity the turbo seems to drop fairly soon though. I would guess that slightly bigger turbo will make a lot more power!

Strokers tend to drop the power off at high rpms the downside of them but you dont need to rev to the same ranges

On my 2.2 on a K26/K27/Garrett hybrid it was 4000 rpm

With the stroker Marco told me it was around 3200 rpm but I never ran that setup as I rebuilt the engine from scratch with a 3076r

i dont think that is related to the engine James, If you fit a large turbo, it will hold quite well. Yours with the 0.82AR should be even better up high as well!

Who is James?, no it's to do with the stroke setup, strokers just shift the power band lower they don't actually extend it

Peak torque @ 3950rpm Jamo? Same as my RS2 - not surprising really as it's got the same turbo and cams... how does this compare to stock RS2 turbo and cams? Sorry for the OT...

Nice plot there - seen DJones' car in the flesh but not on the road unfortunately! If you want less agression I'll swap that turbo for my MD147 by the way Looks like this is a similar spec but a 'stroked' edition
