My 3B -> RS2 engine dies whenever I make the turbo come in, at full throttle etc.
Anybody had this problem before? Is there a trick? I turned the throttle valve damper out to the maximum, just before the idle switch switches, but no succes.
The ISV is ok, tested it.
Could it be because I am running a KKK K26/27/29 #8 instead of the regular RS2 turbo?
And is there a way other than remapping to get past this?

How do you tested the isv? I had one that stuck only after longer non idle periods like in the highway.
We had the engine running without the inlet pipe and could see the isv trying to regulate the engine.
Also the engine's idle is very good. The problem is; (only) when I let the turbo spool or hit the throttle hard and let loose it just stops running.
I 'm not venting to atmosphere.

It is a very common problem that nobody has managed to solve (strangely, enough). On mine, it happens more often at high fuel pressure (I have an adjustable FPR), so I suspect that the engine momentarily runs too rich when the throttle closes, however, my wideband doesn't indicate AFR out of the ordinary when it happens.
Mr.Billman mentions above that it often happens after long periods of the highway, and mine kind of does the same.
You can pull the ISV, clean and lube it and see if that helps. Some folks have had luck by replacing the ISV, but for others, the problem has persisted with a new ISV.

Try a different MAF first.
On Motronic a faulty MAF will cause exactly this... it is what happened to my car before the MAF went completely.
If possible just lend someone's MAF, takes very little time to swap...
It is not 100%, that it is caused by the MAF, so don't rush buying a new one before you try with another MAF.
