    AAN/ABY upgrade advice needed

    I have a shortend WR with a standard AAN engine that I am building. I have no idea about whats available for this engine and what to do to achive 350BHP. I would welcome any advice you have on these areas;

    Turbo/wastgate upgrade, injectors, engine management, etc.

    I have already got a stainless exhaust manifold.

    I would like to keep the internals stock for now but would it be cost effective to fit the 7A exhaust cam?

    Anything else you can suggest

    350 hp fit an RS2 turbo and you wont be far of the mark keeping everything else the same.

      Except you need RS2 equivalent injectors to get that level of power with an RS2 turbo. And a remap to go with that.

        Simplest way to go is keep all internals the same, then bolt up an RS2 turbo and RS2 injectors or 034 equivalent (370ccpm @ 3bar). Then add an ECU upgrade to match it - I can help with that bit... Approx 350bhp/500Nm or higher boosting 380bhp/550Nm choices available.

        Thoroughly recommend an RS2 airbox and RS2 intercooler and you are good to go. I cannot remember if the WR fuel pump is up for the task - so swap that for an S2/RS2 or Bosch 044 version if in any doubt.

          Also you have to change rs2 exhustmanifold. Orginal em is slightly brainfart

          edit: Must read better

            That manifold needs to be compatible with KKK #6 housing to work with RS2 turbo.

                Original ECU is fine. I can upgrade that to numbers stated above. The RS2 turbo is also called a K24 7200 - made by KKK. You need to search some info on how to check for a genuine one. They come up for sale here occasionally. As for the injectors I'd need to dig out a part number. They are cheapest new from a Bosch outlet but you can be lucky here or on auction sites.
