Coincidence? If so = easy fix.

Yesterday morning, drove into work, No problems. Car (ABY S2) going very well, having done the Samcos' AND the turbo cold side to WGFV hose ( it was knackered at the turbo connection, but looked OK). Drive home ( in the rain) car lumpy and idle always with the revs rising and falling. Get to the M3 and at the fist opportunity to move fast and it cut out at about .5 bar boost but would run at lower boost. Back home, checked all the obvious and pulled the ECU fuses - car has run perfectly since(!)
The only thing I did between AM and PM was to put my phone on charge using the cigarette lighter socket. I cannot see why this would affect the car - any other ideas ?

Sounds bit odd....I had a similar experience the other week (but an obvious cause/fix), absolutely flew into work driving her hard down some back lanes, when i left the office it was terrible, at one point I have a max of 6.6mpg and had to stop in Windsor Great Park, lifted the bonnet and i had clean snapped (for the 3rd time) a jubliee clip clean off the intake pipe running up to the one over the rocker cover.

No idea how yours ran perfectly again though...very strange.

P.s. where in surrey are you?

        where is this ECU-fuse??
Is it in the fusebox under the hood??

I had my car standing for two weeks and after that it doesn't run when no power is requested (it snugs and fluctuates speed when on cruise)
If I put my foot down no problem. Not as much t-pressure as expected but it doesn't snug and hop.

        Any other ideas??

        Thanks
        Carlo
