Where to find diagnostic connectors on RR-engined ur-quattro?

Does anyone know where on earth the ECU diagnostic connector blocks are hidden on a 1990 20v ur-quattro (RR)??

Spent most of Saturday trying to find them underneath the dash on a friend's car with no success whatsoever. From what I understand there are two (maybe 3) 2-pin blocks that I can connect up via the same cable I've used on my AAN-engined S4.

It's failing to start at the moment, and we thought checking any fault codes might be a sensible place to start ...!

    Thanks in advance.

You will need to remove the cardboard trim above the pedals to find them Andrew. They should either be on a clip screwed to the rear of the drivers cubby box, or tucked up under the lower side of the dash.

Thanks very much Pete. We actually found what looked like an unused clip on the back of that cubby box and suspected that may have been where they should be located. Went as far as removing the entire leather under dash bit with no sign of them!

But, every possibility that they have been tucked up even further as there's a lot of aftermarket alarm immobiliser spaghetti up there.

A fresh look again is called for I think, now we know they really should be there
