Figured I asked you guys since some were running this turbo I need to purchase the oil fitting/ lines for the turbo but I don't know what size they are found some sizes i'n the manual but that doesn't make sense, and just curious this turbo has only oil lines correct no water lines or anything going through it?

Thats pretty lazzy. And most Hydraulic stores will not use fittings that are made for automotive use but heavy duty kit instead that will cost alot more.
Google yeilded lots.
Oil Feed and Drain Connections:
Oil Drain:
The Oil Drain is easy because it uses a standard Garrett T3 fitting. These are readily available with direct AN-10 connections or 1/2″ NPT threads.
Oil Feed:
The easiest way to connect the oil feed line is with an M12 x 1.5 to -4 AN adapter, like shown below:
AN Flare to Metric, -4 AN to 12mm x 1.5 Male.
Also recomended to use a restrictor
The Holset info doesn't really help much.. It doesn't imply any restrictor is needed.. It says the max pressure should be 5bar and not below .7bar and ideally around 2.1bar at load.
Holset also recommends a oil flow rate through the turbo of about 2litre/min.
Lastly one thing that I spotted was the recommended drain pipe size is 19mm ID? that's pretty big! I was expecting to run 13mm! Maybe with a large drain and no restrictor the flow will be okay and not blow the seals??

Maybe the pneumatic store in my area has quality stuff but cheap (oil feed fitting costed me 5 Euros).....and i am lazy.... :-p
Don't fit an extra restrictor. The fitting will simply reduce the internal diameter a bit. it is enough.
You dont need fancy anodised but you get the idea.

Important is the oil return. Do not restrict this one either.
"The minimum oil pressure when the engine is on load must be 210 kPa (30 lbf/in2). Normal maximum operating pressure is 400 kPa (58 lbf/in2) although 600 kPa (88 lbf/in2) is permitted during cold start up. Under idling conditions pressure should not fall below 70 kPa (10 lbf/in2). Recommended oil flow ranges for these turbochargers are 2 litre/min at idle "Last edited by Billman; 23 November 2010, 08:44.Go Holset or Go RS4Comment

Well the quote from Holset says operating presure under load at 2.2bar your engine will be heading toward 6bar.
So I would say yeaChefComment

Dude,
Whats with all the kilopascals we messure oil in Bar in these cars
so the minimum as you stated when on load must be 2.1Bar
But the normal operating pressure is 4 Bar
And you must not exceed 6 Bar cold.
Your coming very close to the maximum with a warm oil temperature. I reckon with 90degs oil temp and no restrictor and a few bars of boost your be pissing oil through the seals.
But its up to you if you use one or not!
My turbo use's a oil restrictor and my Garret did before that.
The drain is a important part -12An minimum.ChefComment

I drive over 2 years now with a Holset and had no issues whatsoever....but i have seen people with wrong restrictors destroying their turbos.Dude,

As i said before with the fitting you are reducing the diameter by about 2mm but it up to you....
I use something like this for the oil feed
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Garrett-T3-T4...-/350356170487

and something like this for the return a big drain adapter (the diameter is the same from turbo till oil pan)

) and as said it's best not to restrict any of the oil flanges correct? And thanks forthe links will look into that later
