    Thing about lambda probe

    Hi!

    I saw last days a SPORT QUATTRO, and an interesting thing about the lambda probe. She was unmounted from EM and set in-the-air in engine bay, it is no way she could measure O2 for engine computer. What is the reason of doing such a thing? Anyone ?

      ECU programmed to ignore lamba readings. It isnt needed for full throttle. Only used at light throttle

          Does a SPQ even have a Lambda probe? I really don't know, but it's possible that not and the one you saw was for a gauge only.

              SPQ didnt have cats, so maybe it was pre-lambda control. Forgot about that. Are you sure it was a lambda probe?

                  This SQ has some modifications done based on RS2 technic... I think it was the lambda probe.

                  So it's depends on computer programm to ignore the lambda readings?

                      Yeah, mine is switched off at the moment. Makes MPG worse. Dont ask why it is off, long story
