Hey guys ive been having some random thoughts about my s4 about wanting to upgrade the turbo side of things, heres my situation.
ive got a garrett t04z .70 a/r 1.15 rear housing 800hp rated turbo, turbosmart race port BV/turbosmart 50mm gate, e-boost2 etc which i was going to use on my rotary turbo project i have been building the last couple of years into an oldskool corolla wagon, but im thinking of keeping the corolla an n/a rotary now as i prefer the n/a sound of a rotary more, so wouldn't mind using the turbo bits on the s4, but im unsure how much grunt these 5 cylinders can handle before rods start bending etc. the car will be used as a street car, no track duties, just a fast weekender and i wouldn't really be needing to rev it much past the 7 grand mark, but would like to run it at around the 25psi area. ive heard the engines are capable of around 450ish hp before you need to start stripping and upping engine parts so would my idea be safe? also would i still beable to utilize the motronic ecu (remapping?) or would i need to get an aftermarket ecu.
sorry if this has been asked too many times!
cheers.
