      The crank bolt came undone a little too easy and when the pulley came off, what woodruff key?? its gone!!

      I'm guessing that who ever did the belt before didn't use a thread sealant on the crank bolt, instead they used copperslip now I'm guessing here... but I reckon the copper slip has probably caused the bolt to work itself lose just a little... pulley moves just a bit and bye bye woodruff key!! If there is one saving grace here, I found this 'by accident' as I was replacing the cam belt WAY too soon!! its only done 25,000 miles on this belt and I was changing it because I had the whole front end off to change various parts...

      I consider myself EXTREMELY lucky!!! we all know what could happen...

      Incidently, if anyone ever needs to borrow tool 2079, I have one you can collect and borrow:
