    What kind of power te expect

    Hello dear forum member:

    I'm building an S2 engine with the following specs:

    1. Turbo Garrett GT3071R Ar.50;
    2. engine SCAT conrods and JE Pistons (83mm);
    3. CAT cams, witht the following specs:
    - Intake 278o;
    - exhaust 251o;
    - Lift intake 1.145mm
    - Lift exhaust 995 mm
    - Spread inlet 110o;
    - Spread exhaust 120o;
    - Lift BDP inlet 2,4mm;
    - Lift BDP exhaust 0,5mm.
    3. Mechanic lifters in stead of hydrolic lifters, so i could run some more rmps;
    4. Hand made spagetti exhuast manifold;
    5. 3 Inch downpipe en exhaust;
    6. Bigger intercooler wicht reversed intake manivold (Wagner);
    7. DTA stand alone ECU.

    My question is, what kind of power (HP en torque) can i exepct?

                What we are trying to say is there is not much point in extending the rev range if your not using a turbo with enough flow capability to keep the boost up at high rpm .
                I would say you could make ~470 HP but you would have made that before stock rev limit anyway .

                  i think that 750hp and 1000nm are possible , i have a "friend" with worse specs than you with the same turbo giving 523cv & 683nm

                      I agree on the revs. I didn't changes the internals and lifters to gain higher refs, to be clear about that.

                        Your hotside is tiny.
                        That hotside is suited for a 1.8 engine or smaller, not for a 2.2.

                        You will struggle to make any power at all, because you will get crazy backpressure.
                        Go 0.63 or bigger. On a ported head, I'd say 0.82.

                          If you take that you can make between 9.5-10.5 HP per lb of air per minute then like I said the middle of that would be 470 HP for this turbo . See compressor map.
                          But as Pri says .50AR is not a good for a 2.2 20v engine, so in this case you would probably only make 9.5 HP max per lb of air per minute as a result thus ~445 HP if you are lucky .

                            Thanks for the reaction so far. I'm using my car as a racecar and chose this turbo for the fast spool up.
