On our side of the pond, there is a fellow who is claiming that he is getting 300 wheel horsepower (not crank, wheel) from a "K24" running on VI-PEC. Most of us are skeptical and think his "K24" is a "K24 7200" but he refuses to post a photo of his turbo serial number plate. Is VI-PEC somekind of magic that repeals the laws of thermodynamics?
I have some experience with it , well when I say experience I mean I just read the spec on there web site and I don't recall it saying anything about witch craft and or black magic in general so I don't see how it can make a k24 produce 300 wheel HP .

Maybe a newer k24 like the Volvo ones seen on another thread. K24 is very general. I think that what is important is the wheels in it. I had a k26 turbo e housing mated with a holset hx40 turbo capable of 450+ hp.

Agree about the wheels but this guy is claiming it is a stock UrS4/6 AAN K24 and nothing more.

people say lots of things. Vi-Pec is a nice ECU (I sell them amongst other systems), but it does not contain magic pixie dust. Physics aint just a good idea, its the law

Marc: As you might have guessed, this is the guy from MG and quattroworld. He claims to have believers on MG but we on quattroworld don't believe. We believe he has one of the 2004 RS2 Group Buy turbos that were KKK/Borg Warner and were NOT labled "7200" but something else. He won't post a photo of his serial no. tag so I thought I would ask about Vi-Pec here to see if the English garden faeries had spread their magic pixie dust about.

Vi-PEC for the money is one of the best ECU in the market, but you can't fight physics, if turbo doesn't flow.
We tuned one Audi 5cyl 20vT 278hp with stock turbo and 34mm restrictor, but exhaust was 76mm and big intercooler.
But I don't understand why someone would put standalone ECU to stock car/engine....
I used Link Plus G1, G2...ViPEC V88 is not G4 1:1.
The main difference is mixture map, that has not Link in software, as hardware Link has not flyby-wire. Mixture map is very nice feature

Was that 278 hp crank or wheel horsepower?
