    Buy chip -> http://cgi.ebay.de/Tuning-Chip-Audi-...item5880e1ae75
    Uninstall ECU, open it, remove stock chips (2x), install the new ones and thats it, you are done - go for a spin.

    p.s. The above chips in link is tested and working good for that price.
    p.p.s. No aditional socket installation is required. Its just plug & play style.

        If you're after mapping for a non-stock setup, you're best taking it to an experienced Motronic tuner (eg. MRC).

          unfortunately most won't tell you how to do it yourself but will do it for you for a fee.

          If your serious about doing it yourself probably best to have a look at aftermarket, you'd be able to get some money back on your stock stuff.

            Paul (vader s2 or s2 vader or something like that) had his 3b custom tuned by automark and I think he was happy with them.

            Rocco is running a 3b at RS2 power these days, maybe if your setup is close enough to his then chips from the same source could be got.

            I'd love to get into the whole tuning thing myself but it's not going to happen.

                Needs more than just software. 3B is old school and cannot be mapped over OBD - needs an emulator to get anywhere but your tuner is gonna need to know his way around motronic. That or go aftermarket ecu as others have suggested.

                    Do some pricing. I think you will find the VEMS stuff is about 2or 3 times more expensive than an chip set. VEMS (and the like) are great if you are going above RS2 levels with large turbos, etc. However, if you are just after a mild bump (e.g. to 260 to 280 hp) or even RS2 plus (350 to 370 hp) levels (with more hardware), then you are fine with Motronic. Lot of Motronic-based options including:

                    1. Home Fries, the ever modest Paul N. (S2central.net)
                    2. MRC http://www.mrctuning.com/
                    3. 034 http://www.034motorsport.com/034efi-...e-p-18438.html (But they are in the US and Paul and MRC are in the UK)

                        Generic homefries are available for 3B from me - includes a 2.5bar map sensor upgrade. I cannot do anything custom for 3B though with regards monster turbos and such - not for now anyway. My recommendation for custom mapping work is MRC but there are a couple other guys in uk as well with the right stuff.
