Which one is better? Piston pin lubrication hole on the top or on the side/bottom?
I think the side/bottom one is better bacause the oil squirt is coming from below. You also have to assembly the rods right so the hole is on the sime side that the oil squirt. Any ideas?

Or have them riffle drilled for direct oiling. I had that done with my Pauters.
I dont think it will matter where the hole is on the them without riffle drilling. With the oil squirters aiming at the bottom of the pistons it will be a sea of oil dripping back off them.
Always wondered if rifle drilling might be bad in the sense that it must cause a slight pressure drop in the big ends. Wouldn't you have to rework the oil galleries to allow for the extra flow and would that create a knock on effect elsewhere. Or is it just not that critical, and just reading into it too much
The hole thats drilled in them is very small and i cant see there being any drop in pressure, certainly far smaller than the oil squirters. The pressure relief valve will be bleading off excess pressure from the pump anyway so it wont be flat out. So you could have a little play with the relief valve so it bleeds off less if you found you were getting pressure drop.
