    Lambda-adaptation

I had a dead Lambda probe. With the old one vagcom showed 128 for the lambda-adaptation value.
I renewed the lambda probe and everything works now fine. It dropped the fuel consumption quite a lot and no black exhaust puffs anymore.

The question is that now vagcom shows adaptation value of 210! My MAF is missing the plug over the adjusting screw (that should not be touched!) and now I'm thinking someone tampered with the MAF after the lambda died to get the mixture about right.

Now then.. should I try to turn the MAF adjustment to get the adaptation value right? It should be less than 150 (s2central info). But MAF output voltage is also tested and is in the limits that s2central describes. W.T.F?!
I don't get any fault codes and everything works just fine. Will the adaptation limit fault occur only after the adaptation value exceeds 255?

I just love the previous owners!
