I have a VEMS so i have some questions about the launch control. How do the stock ABY valves handle t LC? Will thy burn? Is it word to bay some sodium-filled exhaust valves or some thing?
Just to explain this, as it woke up a couple of questions.
In Tatech system there are two separate settings, and two separate input buttons; one for antilag, and one for launch control
Launch control works only as lower rev limiter, and You can adjust ignition advance, but cannot retard it beyond tdc, or enrich it separately. This is more gentle way of making lot of boost on neutral / while standing on clutch. A good setup will make all the boost needed with this only. e.g. we never used anything but this on Paavola's racers.
Antilag in the other hand has separate rev limiter, but You can also retard a desired percentage of sparks after tdc. You can also add fuel to base maps to enhance the effect of antilag. This is more violent way to make boost, and is usually needed if using Holset or Switcher big *** turbos or for some reason need to build boost on too low revs to be able to build boost with launch control only.
I like to use this terminology, as it makes sense, and separates these two techniques from each other. And like said, launch control is much less hostile to Your engine than antilag.
Everything less than 2 bar is considered to be naturally aspirated
