Could always wire a switch to the fan for traffic jams. Thats what i have planned when i get fed up with using the aircon button. Lol

To be honest Ive ditched the aux rad for a couple of years and tackling london traffic has been ok even through summer and even without tripping the fan its ok, i use it more to try and ease heatsoak.

Yes I still have the aux rad, not keen on ditching that either as I still want to use the car as a daily driver for work, which will mean a fair amount of time sitting in traffic jams

The cooler will fit in the std location, it just needs a bit more tweaking to get it right.

I am sure cutting a towing eye off is a pretty epic fail.

Andy do you still have your auxiliary rad?

    EDIT:-

Yes it is. Depending on what the thermostat opening temperaure is set at or if the thermostat isn't operating correctly, a larger oil cooler isn't going to make it run any cooler... Worth checking.

I'm confident that the thermostat is opening as the cooler is getting hot. I'm also hoping that the cooler I've got will be big enough for the job. I know Jamo is using a std ABY cooler on his stroker and is not having any issues, mine is a 3B which is smaller than the ABY which is where the problem lies, hopefully.

He had to cut the towing eye off to get his fitted, not keen on doing that as it might come in handy one day.

Dump the Aux water rad and fit a 25row oil cooler instead as I did, keeps my oil below 110degrees now whatever the condirions

I ran the same size on the race car, 200 bhp K series... needed a 19 row in the end! Bigger the better as the lady said to the bishop!

Yes and no! I've got the cooler and it will fit in the stock location, I'm just having a nightmare trying to get hoses made to connect it up. Got some more parts to try this weekend.
