ok been talking with longjohn for a while about supercharging so whilst having a brew this morning looking at my car engine i thought can i sack off the power steering pump mounted on the engine and install an electric pump off a crappy saxo or pug 106 then i can fit a luuuuuvley centrifugal supercharger in the picture below?
Vortech, a leader in high-performance air management solutions since 1990. From cutting-edge centrifugal superchargers for cars and trucks to marine, industrial, and aeronautical applications, Vortech combines innovation, efficiency, and reliability.
Lysholm screw chargers are where it's at. Rotrex are quite similar to turbochargers in the way they run. Cheapest would be an m80 off a jag v8 (landrover lump the same) I'd say it would sound awesome
Have you considered if you can get an equivalent PES G2 supercharger for the V8, that way it just replaces the intake manifold.
I've been considering this for a while for my 2.8 30v.
i prefer the centrifugal superchargers over the scroll ones as they take up much less space, i have next to no room over the exitisting IM, my other issue is that the unit would be whatever i can get my hands on 2nd hand as my pennies wont strech as far as buying a new item
if i get a electric PAS pump that leaves me the ideal amount of space below bank 2 to mount one without causing any major fitting headaches and can run a standard style intercooler along the front if need be,
have looked at the new xj jag 4.0lt superchargers but think they take up massive amounts of space
