    2.2 10v Stroker Kits

    Afternoon guys,

I'm new on here and just joining up for some information regarding the 2.2 10v engines.

Basically where I work on a weekend has been tasked with building a bombproof engine to run a reliable 600hp and similar torque figure, client requests a 2.5 stoker kit with steel crank.

Now we have had a search around the net for parts to build such a motor but are having no such luck. Had a quick search on here but thought best to ask the question direct to get a definite answer.

    Hope to receive some help!

    Cheers

    Scott

It could be a 20v one to be honest, I did wonder, It looks like the mk2 golf 16v with an extra cylinder on with the shapes of the ports etc just assumed it was 10v. It's not in bits yet my boss just asked if I knew anywhere that did Stroker kits for them engines.

It's very closely related to the golf engine with an extra cylinder stuck on the front. Have a search on here for Stoker projects, diesel block and crank seem to be the way most people go for 2.5 litres.

          Available to buy complete here:-

          http://www.eurospecsport.com/products/engines/5c-4v.htm

Or you can build your own, just search for 'stroker' on here, there are 2 or 3 project threads that will give you all the info you need.

Cheers for the info and links guys. I'll get searching when I'm next on the laptop

I'm a 1.8 20vt lad myself and stoker kits for our engines include the diesel crank out of the 1.9pd engines. I did suggest this, this morning to my boss but was told the customer wanted a steel crank rather than one out of another engine, but as they are available new this should be the option! Glad to see it's easily possible!

            Thanks again

It's definitely a 20v engine, was just my mistake!
