AAN to ABY

i have an AAN engine that is want to convert to ABY so it will fit easier in a b4 limo. i like to keep the serp belt. what parts do i need ?

- intake manifold
- boost pipe, the one that runs across the head.

things im not sure.
- Fuel rail ? or can i use the AAN one ?
- Trottle body ? or can is use the AAN one ?
- Watermanifold ? or can i use the AAN one ?

I would not say there is enough room to keep the serpentine belt, it would be better to convert that also. As for the rest of the bits you need from the ABY you need.
Rocker cover
Inlet manifold
Fuel rail
Braided fuel pipes 1 x ABY 1 x 7a to join original steel hoses in your car
Boost hose to throttle body
Dipstick tube
PCV System
Water rail on the head
Alternator bracket
Alternator
The ABY injection loom would also be better as it plugs directly into your fuse box no splicing required.
And then the rest of the intercooler hoses and water pipes that are required. Which includes the steel pipe behind the cambelt for turbo cooling

thanks for you answer, whats diffent on the ABY rocker cover ?, does the AAN watermanifold not fit with the ABY IM ? i thought the fuel rail was the same, the only differense were the hoses i thought. i dont need it to be ABY i only need the extra space by changing to IM to ABY.

There is a little difference in the shape of the top the cam cover to allow the inlet manifold to fit, you can't fit an ABY inlet manifold over a AAN cover.

The water manifold is a different design and will not fit with the ABY inlet manifold either.

The exit pipe for the breather system on the front turbo side is different to clear the boost pipework. The AAN one exits straight and the ABY one exits 90 degrees very close to the cover itself

There is an angle on the ABY cover that is not on the AAN , if you try and put the ABY inlet on an AAN the throttle cam will hit the cover.

Yes, I think you can use the throttle body, as far as I can tell it's the same as the ABY .

I just took an aan rocker cover of my rs2 and it fitted, the only problem was the metal pipe on side as you said ( this can be swapped over) and the cable on the throttle body needs one of the metal clip removing to fit. Although i have just swapped back to me proper rocker cover as well its the right one never thought id hear myself saying that.
Also i think the throttle body is better than aby because it gives a bigger area to mount the rubber pipe to. ( brilliant for samco hoses,,)

so the I have rs2 IM on AAN valve cover , but ABY IM will not fit on AAN cover . ADU and ABY intake manifold are not the same..

look picture of ABY IM clously (area under throttle body) and you will see the different.

Yes, I think you can use the throttle body, as far as I can tell it's the same as the ABY .

The AAN throttle body (PN 034133063EF) is unique to the AAN, whereas the ABY throttle body (PN 034133063EE) is common to the ABY and ADU (RS2). The 3B throttle body (PN034133063DP) is common to the 3B and the RR (Urq).
