    Head reconditioning

    Hi all,

Having started with a starting problem, I then promptly found a compression problem.... hence have stripped her down and found a very grotty looking 20 year old paper head gasket.

Now she's apart I would like to get the head overhauled, looks in good nick with no signs of cracking..... are there any recommendations for who to get the work done by (I'm near Winchester / Southampton), what should I have done, and how much will it cost?

Finally, is there anything else that anyone would recommend I do whilst the head is off? (within reason and a modest budget!)

    Thanks,

    Gareth

Mr Cockings (aka Audiman) would be a very good bet though down in Yeovil. He knows these cars inside out and done a few heads including Ross's.
