Torco Assembly Lube- built hundreds of engines with it- great stuff, super sticky, will stay in place for ages.
Waited for a crank bolt from Maserati in Italy for the V8 Khamsin for 6 months!!! Lube was still where i put it!!

Nope but unlike graphogen it degrades so it's not as good for long term builds so Aelred advised.

I used both products, graphogen in the block and redline in the top end for cams etc

Ive used Wynns supercharge Oil additive before. Its basically an oil additive for stressed engines (usually you mix it in with oil before filling the engine) and it basically makes the engine oil thicker.
Its got a treacle like consistency and sticks wherever you put it.
Its not designed for engine building, and im sure some wouldnt recommend it, but it works from experience and is cheap and available from halfords.

What i mean is do i have to be careful with it or can i just slap it on?
Oh god its getting worse, so many connotations in engineering! lol

Graphogen is one of the best professional products for the job. Try fitting the pistons in the bore with Graphogen and a bit of engine oil. Helps to lube the rings and skirts of pistons and makes it easier to fit into bores. Graphogen on its own doesnt 'slide' as easily.
