ABY windage tray in sump

hi all.

recently starting back with my S2 restoration after a couple of years and i'm in the process of rebuilding the engine.
i cant remember if there is a plastic windage tray bolted to the inside of the sump, there seems to be 4 threaded holes in the sump that would suggest that there should be, but i can't find the plastic part in the garage anywhere even though all the parts from the car are all organised on shelves.
if anyone could help or have pictures of what should be there that would be great.
car is a `93 ABY coupe.

Your ABY should have a windage tray, shown as item 14A in the diagram below. The PN is the same for the 3B, AAN, ABY and RS2 ADU. Somehow it is different than the 7A windage tray.

The windage tray is made from sheet steel, not plastic. Perhaps you have overlooked it whilst searching for a plastic component?

There is a plastic baffle in the sump that bolts to the 4off threaded boss's you refer to, can just be seen in this pic, it's the part with the 'Audibits' sticker on

thanks for the diagram URS4boy, i have the metal windage tray (item 14a) ready to go on. it was the plastic baffle that andyp has mentioned that i cant seem to find (thats what i was meaning when i said windage tray, my bad)

the more i see the picture of that plastic baffle i honestly dont think it was fitted to my sump when i stripped down the engine, do all S2's have it?

My ABY doesn't have a plastic windage tray. Only a metal one.

i'm hoping this is the case because i was 99% sure that i never had it, just wanted a second opinion before i built everything back up

My 3B didn't have the plastic baffle fitted when I stripped it down a few years back.

No it didn't have a plastic blaffle.

The 034103623A metal windage tray ("restrictor") that the 3B, AAN, ABY and ADU got is different than the plastic 034103623 "restrictor" 7A got. Thanks
