A serious lack of Victor Reinz head set availability!

    Hi all,

I'm not having much luck sourcing a Victor Reinz head gasket set at the moment.

Quattro Corner were out of stock and not sure when new stock would arrive so i went to GSF.... ooopppps!

For my £107 and 2 week wait I recieved a sump gasket set for an Audi 90 2ltr 5cyl.... how wrong can they get it! To top it off they also sent the wrong head bolts. They are now fully refunding as they have no stock either.

Anyone know where else I can try or does anyone have one kicking around?

    Thanks,

    Gareth

What the Elring ones I sell retail at £66.50 that's a ridiculous mark up!!! I can check if Elring do a headgasket set for you if you want just pm me.

Had a word with Elring and they can't do headkits. They'll sell you Headgasket, rocker, camseal and intake individually. Exh gasket is main dealer as are the water manifold o rings/seals. Stemseals if you want victor reinz gsf sell them on their own but you have to request reinz it you get the horrible Orange ones. Alternatively FAI do viton ones which are best for high heat application but you got to buy them of an engine reconditioner as with most of the Elring stuff.

                  Thanks for all the replies.

With regards to the elring gasket, is it metal? Know the VR ones are but don't know about Elring.

Good stuff with the ebay link, bit costly but will use if I don't get any luck elsewhere.

I believe it was the cheapest option for me at the time, but I'm not in the UK. At least it's very complete package incl. stem seals etc.

How much is an Elring gasket and where's best to get one (RWD19T?)... assuming quality is equal to the VR gasket?
