    side indicator repeater

    Bit of a daft one...

Was out washing the car this eve at a jetwash, whilst washing it with the brush (i jet the brush thoroughly before i use it) the indicator came off.

Any tips for getting this back on...the rubber around the bulb holder is too big for the hole in the wing. On my golf i used to fish it out with a hanger but this isnt working here do i have to remove the arch liner so i can hold the other side while i push it in...

    ...seems madness

It should fit through, it is a tight fit though as it has a 90* head, need to rotate it round. I dropped one down and had to undo the front of the arch liner, actually took about 10 minutes once I had stopped moaning about it.

Andys right- it should fit through, just the 90 degree angled head means once the front is through you will have to turn it to get the rest through.

It does come out with some aggression induced patience, I had to use a finger to gently get it up to the hole and just resting on the edge then got two pairs of long nose pliers and very carefully gripped each side and squashed\pulled it out trying not to scratch or chip anything. The paint around the edge of that hole looked mighty thin!!

The amount of times I dropped it back down inside the wing and cursed it.

crazy...the mk2 golf one and ive also done a mk4 polo as well its just straight and has plenty off slack that you can get the whole bulb holder out. this has about an inch of slack wire on the back and a right angled holder.
