LMAO at the language and nomenclature pedants.

BTW, nice work Mr Casey, you are filling a rather nice void with your little engineering adventures...

Cheers Fatty In fairness, this one wasn't my idea - I was asked to make an alloy replacement for the plastic item; it turned out that the 'customer' had seen a post by GT500, in which he made a welded aluminium item.

For this design, I used both the OE Audi parts to get dimensions etc. and then improved a few areas to ensure that the product was easier to make and as good as I could provide, for under £40. Retianing the stock fixing and seal was important in this case and I decided to provide options for 3B/RR and ABY/AAN/ADU, so that the OE pipes fitted correctly.

Genesis for these products comes from 2 main sources: some parts I have made because I need them; other parts are made because people request them. Either way, I always ensure that my bespoke S2/RS2 parts are well made, have near perfect fit and finish and ultimately, solve the problems that we all have with these old cars! My biggest issue is suppliers at the mo - finiding people to make specialist, low volume parts can be an issue and I've had supply problems from a few exisiting suppliers, meaning that I've had to repeat the process of finding new ones

Happy to run with any products that people need, providing the numbers work...

Fair play you are making a good job of it. I have connections to a couple of engineering fabrication type suppliers if you ever need any help...

          Keep up the good work.

          Cheers,
